In line with my ambition to become social entrepreneur, I hope to follow the MSc. Entrepreneurship as joint degree from the Universiteit van Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam next academic year. Here I will follow the Social Entrepreneurship track to further deepen my knowledge of how to build a successful social enterprise, and equally importantly network with like-minded individuals who share similar goals to learn from. This is because I’ve found in Berlin that being surrounded with people on the same wavelength can work as a catalyst for (personal) growth.           

While I might not continue my education in design itself, I will continue to apply the core principles I developed during Industrial Design in my future work. For example actively integrating users in my processes and using explorative and creative ideation methods. At the same time I want to bring these design ways of thinking to people outside of the “ID bubble” , because I believe currently the average non-ID student might not know how powerful some of the key principles are, and I think the world could be a better place if they were at least aware of them. Last but not least from the bottom of my heart, it was a blast to be part of the ID community and I will miss its people and creative energy sincerely when I move to Amsterdam (hopefully).
